FUN CONVERSATION APPROACHES

  • Pose a question - hypothetically: Do you think? Have you ever? Which is better?

  • Create silly scenarios - what would you...? (Serious ones are okay too!).

  • Get a debate going - choose a topic without a clear answer.

  • Do collective story telling - or make alternative endings to an existing story.

  • Survey others - get them asking others about other's experience.

  • Memorise 'Memory Mottos' or make some of your own!

  • Find a picture that prompts a conversation.

  • Share your experience - kids love to hear about our lives.

  • Make a poster/video/cartoon where they teach the topic.

  • Make a journal together - you could share a secret code!

  • Choose an action and make a plan together

  • Do something for others that reinforces the theme
